Hear It From Our Women
“Joining The Solo Mum Club has been an absolute lifeline. Before finding this, I honestly felt like I was on a wee island all by myself, trying to navigate everything with no map. The sense of community here is something special. It’s not just forums and articles; it’s the late-night chats with mums who get it, the shared laughs over something ridiculous the kids have done, and the genuine "you've got this" messages on the hard days. It’s the first place I’ve felt seen not as a stereotype, but as a woman who is doing her best. It’s more than a club; it’s our tribe.”
Siobhan McKenna, Belfast

“I'm a practical person, and what I needed wasn't just sympathy, but actual, useful support. The Solo Mum Club delivered in spades. The resources section is an absolute godsend – from expert webinars on budgeting to simple, actionable tips for co-parenting and self-care. It’s not about someone holding your hand, but about giving you the tools to stand stronger on your own two feet. I feel more capable and far less overwhelmed since I joined. It's proper empowerment, and I’m so grateful for it.”
Bronagh Doherty, Derry/Londonderry

“For a long time, I felt like I was just surviving. Every day was about getting through the to-do list, and I’d sort of lost who I was. Finding this community changed everything. It was the stories of resilience from other women that made me look at my own journey differently. This club helped me shift my mindset from "I'm doing this alone" to "Look at what I'm achieving." It helped me find my confidence again and celebrate the incredible strength it takes to be a solo mum. I'm not just surviving anymore; I feel like I'm thriving, and I owe so much of that to the support I've found here.”
Claire Johnston, Lisburn
